I am a homeowner and I pay all the bills in my home. I ended things with her and asked her to move out a few times but she refused to. Is there a legal way to do it? Am I able to just move her stuff out when she is out and change the locks? Call landlord and tenant…they know the answers of getting her out legally. Why do people insist on asking Facebook knowitalls? I do know it starts with giving her a letter of eviction and giving her a set number of days in which to move out.

That whole type of situation is just awkward. Get some good advice before doing anything. Is she a tenant? Is she common-law? Once that is defined, your direction becomes clearer. Change the locks. You own the home. Kick her out. If she wants to spend her time and money trying to fight it, let her. I doubt she would win and I doubt she would go through all that time and trouble. Common law is not six months anymore. We were taught in school it was a year guess even our teachers were wrong!
